Nithraid

Nithraid is a community-led River Festival beside and on Dumfries’ River Nith. The day starts off with a sailing race – racing up river on the highest tide of the year, and finishing over the line below the caul in the centre of Dumfries. The Salty Coo parades through the town centre as part of a procession and awaits the arrival of the boats from the centre of the river Nith.
